In the final episode of our traineeship podcast series, our trainees review their experience at the Council of the EU as a whole, reflecting on what they have learned, They also chat about EPSO competitions, postgraduate studies, and the first forays into permanent public sector work.

This traineeship programme is intended to provide young professionals with practical experience of the European Union in general and the EUIPO in particular as well as to enable them to put into practice knowledge acquired during their studies and first professional experiences, and in particular in their specific areas of competence. Based on the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 of 22.12.2017 on the Rules related to Traineeships in the Delegations of the European Union and the Decision ADMIN(2020) 50 of 3 December 2020, traineeships are offered under four different pillars: Funded traineeship for young graduates with less than one year of professional experience; Unpaid traineeships for short periods (minimum one month, maximum three months) are occasionally available with no age limit for university students and recent graduates.. Long-term trainees are given a monthly grant in accordance with the provisions regarding traineeships at the EESC. For long-term traineeships taking place within the time period 16/02/2021 – 15/02/2022 the amount of the grant is a lump sum of 1.229,33 EUR per month.

Successful candidates will be informed of the dates and rules governing the traineeship.
